Happy New Year to all. I hope you didn't indulge too much.
What has been happening in the past 9 days. Well Grab a coffee as it is a loooonnnnnng post.
Got your coffee. ok
1. I packed all our things and lots of them and moved in to a beautiful little but extremely comfortable house. It soon became our HOME We officially moved on the 4th January, with our friend Jason moving with his moving truck. He is such a Godsend. Hot weather and all but we finally had everything moved and sort of sorted out by 10pm. The fella's partied on until approx 1am. I am not sure what the neighbours thought. We again have introduced ourselves well. Bill and I got to bed approx 1.30am. Or should I say fell into bed.
2. Bill had me up at 7.45am on Saturday morning as our new fridge was to be delivered at 8am and Ididn't want to scare them off with a look of me in bed. (especially as we slept in the lounge, until we set up the water bed).
3. Right on the dot of 8am the truck arrived and we at last had a new fridge. We got an upside down one. The fride at the top and freezer at the bottom.
4. Then it was down to more unpacking, and unpacking and unpacking. What a mess, but we finally got it done. Well most of it.
5. We went shopping to fill the fridge and freezer as we had let a lot of things run down in the cupboard. Well approx $300.00 later and we were done. Whew.
6. We slept again on the mattress (air mattress) as we really wanted to freshen up the paint work. But Bill and I decided on Sunday morning that the paint was just right and suited our colourings. So no sooner had we decided than the bed was installed. All we needed was for the water to heat up. No won't be sleeping in the bed again tonight. I think that made it 8 nights on the air mattress. It certainly was a sight seeing Bill and I climb in and out of bed. Glad it was only the two of us watching.
7. Monday was my birthday. I got a cordless drill (wtf) from my darling husband. Well when we went to Bunnings on the Sunday there was a cheap cordless drill and I asked Bill to buy it for the shop, so he told me it was for my birthday.lol..He is going to buy me a new camera later. so really he isn't that horrible.
I had Taylor stay overnight on Sunday and then Monday morning Jodie dropped off Cassie and Chelsie, so i looked after all my three grandaughters. It was really a great day. I sort of pottered around the house while at the same time looking after the girls..
Taylor Cassie and I made Jelly in small cups for dinner that night. They enjoyed being able to help me.
After Chelsie woke from her nap we headed for the park that is just around the corner. I didn't have a stroller for Chelsie so the Girls and I decided that Chelsie would fit into one of the Dolls pushers. So off we went. Taylor pushing Chelsie in the dolls pram and me holding Cassies hand. I wish I had my camera, I think it would have made for some great Scrapping.
After approx 1 hour at the park and tears later from Cassie not want to go home we did
I put on the roast beef (hoping that the oven would work) It cooked to perfection, then there was the vegetables. The Jellies were set so as I had made two too many I let the girls have one each and Chelsie ate half of her one.The Girls then started pestering me for a bath. (We have a spa bath in the new house. I told them they could have a bath at 5pm. I forgot that Taylor can tell the time and I was asked to run it right on the dot.
For Dinner we had Jodie Cassie and Chelsie (Jeff was sick), Mark and Mel and Taylor, Melinda and Glenn, Jason, Bill and I. It all went without a hitch and I think everyone enjoyed their meal. (and the Jelly of course. Then it was birthday cake time. Cassie told Jodie that I had to have a Dora cake. So Jodie organised a cake and candles and i also had Dora the Explorer on the top. Cassie thought it was great.
Everyone left at around 9/10pm and Bill and I went to bed. I must say I thoroughly enloyed my birthday, I enjoyed looking after the three girls and I enjoyed cooking dinner and I enjoyed have my family around me. A great start to my next year.
WORK
As for work. I went into the shop on the 2nd (we had a big sale start and it went off with a bang) but then in the afternoon I left Jodie and Jenny and went home that was the start of my moving holiday.
Well I went back to work officially on the 8th and even though I was so busy over the holdiays and will moving I still enjoyed going back to work. (call be stupid if you like but I did).
Holdiays over and back to the girndstone but I am much more realxed than I was in 2007.
Well I think I will have bored you all to bits but I will try not post too big a post next time, but you all know how hard it is for me.LOL
Well I am going as i think it is time for bed, you all know that the elderly need their beauty sleep.
Until next time.
Keep smiling and healthy
Love
Judy

UGGH!! Jealous over here!! Really want one of those reverse refridgerators!! I feel you on the air mattress bit... we did that a few years back when we moved... it was NOT fun! Especially since the darn thing was deflated by the morning every single day!!
That was not a boring post. I had a great laugh. I yelled out to Adrian re the drill and he said that was great planning on your hubby's part. How cute, having the Dora cake. I can imagine birthday get togethers at your place would be so much fun. Thanks for sharing. BTW I got one of those reverse fridges, they're great. love being able to see into my low freezer with draws without having to climb in it to see what I have available for dinner.
Glad the moving went well. Love the drill... and the dora cake.. hehe. Sounds like all is well and happy there in the new house... and the new oven and fridge sound like theyre a blessing.. lol... at you forgetting Taylor can tell the time.. hehehe
